Calvary FMC wants to encourage spiritual growth in all stages of life. That’s why we believe it’s important for our students and children to have a time of worship and learning that’s tailored just for them. It’s our goal to partner with parents to help build a spiritual foundation during student’s most formational years.
Every Sunday, four-year-olds through fifth graders are dismissed before the sermon starts to go participate in a time of learning that is suited specifically for their age level. Parents pick up their children when the service concludes, except for communion Sundays when children return to the service in order to participate. The nursery is always open to infants though three-year-olds.
Grades 6th through 12th gather on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. After a main Scripture lesson, the youth break off into discussion groups to foster fellowship and learning. This will be a place where students come and journey together as brothers and sisters, seeking Christ in weekly experiences.
Youth Sunday School
On Sunday mornings, grades 6th through 12th are invited to youth Sunday school class from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
This is time for students to come together to delve into Scripture and apply Biblical truth to their daily walk with Christ and others.
Youth Outings will be a time for righteous fellowship and fun. Twice a year (Fall and Spring) the youth of Calvary will join other Free Methodist Youth groups in the Conference for a retreat at Eagle Ridge Retreat Center in Bowling Green, KY. Every summer youth also participate in the New South Conference Free Methodist Youth Camp, also held at Eagle Ridge Retreat Center.
